    Care/ Selfcare
    Objectives
    How do I keep myself safe around horses? How do I keep myself safe in life? What does a horse need to survive comfortably? What do I need? How can I get/ do the things that horse need for survival? How can I gain the things I need?

    Week
    Communication
    Objectives
    Observe horses in their natural herd environment and discuss their body language. Discuss the way humans communicate and how to be a more effective communicator. Use the knowledge we have learned to interact with horses.

    Week
    Team Work
    Objectives
    Learn about our teammates and the horses that they may be teamed up with. Team members will identify parts of the horse. Reconstruct a bridle that has been taken apart.

    Leadership
    Objectives
    Identify personal leading style. Learn the basics of leading horses.
  5. 5
    Week
    Responsibility
    Objectives
    Students will name some things they are responsible for. students will then learn about the responsibility of horses. Students will learn about taking responsibility for their actions and themselves.

    Trust
    Objectives
    Discuss who do we trust in our life. Find out do we trust our horses? Do they trust us? Do a trust building exercise with team members and horses.

    Objectives
    Learn how to show respect to the horse. How to show respect to others. Learn basic respect while learning to ride.

    Obstacles
    Objectives
    Discuss the obstacles in our lives. Come up with a plan to overcome daily obstacles. Complete a mounted obstacle course.
  3. 9
    Week
    Courage
    Objectives
    Give an example of a time you were courageous. Understand the balance of fear and courage. Students will do a mounted vaulting exercise at a walk.

    Boundaries
    Objectives
    Students will learn about the positive aspects of setting and respecting boundaries. Students will learn what it means to hold our horses accountable and not letting them take advantage of us by setting clear boundaries.
  5. 11
    Week
    Strength
    Objectives
    While we groom and tack we will discuss our strengths and weaknesses. We will ground drive a draft horse to demonstrate the strengths these horses are capable of to be able to pull carts and plow ground.
  6. 12
    Week
    Compassion
    Objectives
    Discuss compassion towards others and animals. Groom and tack horses and go on a small trail ride. Come back together and reflect on what we have learned.
